He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis McMurray and Pearl Blanton McMurray; his son David McMurray; and his siblings, Ruby Dickson, Edna Stallard, Edith Banks, Wayne McMurray, Henry McMurray and Lynn McMurray.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Hill McMurray; his son Ronnie Scruggs (Crystal) of Gaffney; his siblings, Billy McMurray of Gaffney and Hazel Humphries (Barry) of Gaffney; his grandson Michael Scruggs (Natalie); and his great grandchildren, Michael Twamley and Oliver Scruggs.
