It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Guthrie of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on October 28, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Guthrie; her parents, Ernest Peeler and Dorcas Davis Peeler; and her siblings, Ernest Peeler, Jr., Helen Peeler, Dorothy Painter and Lois Bright.
She is survived by: her daughters, Evelyn Robbs of Gaffney and Sheila Byars (Mack) of Blacksburg; her sisters, Ruth McCoy of Florida, Alice Baston of Gaffney and Doris Patterson of Gaffney; her sister-in-law Elsie Peeler of Gaffney; and her grandchildren, Shannon Rayfield (Bee Vang), Melanie Thomas (Preston), Brian Hartsell (Ann), April Roberts (Chris) and Jill Chapman (Dustin). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
