She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Blanton; her parents, Wesley Whelchel and Ella Robertson Whelchel; her son Dennis Ray Spencer; and her siblings, Ila Mabry, Viola Motts, Lucille Lipsey, Knola Mathis, Mary Snapp, Troy Whelchel, Roy Whelchel, Johnny Whelchel and Thomas Whelchel.
She is survived by: her sons, Troy Spencer (Becki) of Cowpens and Billy Spencer of Gaffney; and her stepson David Blanton of Gaffney. She is also survived by three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
