She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sanders Nance and Grace Blackwell Nance; her sister Gail Robbins; and also John Leigh. She is survived by: her husband Walter Dean Stroupe; her son James Walter Gowan Jr. of Gaffney; her stepchildren, Tommy Stroupe (Francince) of Gaffney, Annie Stroupe of Gaffney, Deanna Floyd (Michael) of Cowpens, Tammy Sarratt (Matt) of Shelby and Jackie Harrison of Texas; her grandson James Gowan (Alisha); and her stepgrandchildren, Andy Bridges (Melissa), Casey Burnett (Tiffany), Brandon Burnett (Heather), Collin Sarratt and Jack Smith (Lynsy). She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
