He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Thomas Hopper and Mary Frances Taber Hopper; his sons, Ronnie Hopper Jr., Donnie Philbeck and Ben Fowler; his brother Jesse Hopper; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Hopper.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Mayfield Hopper; his children, Jason Osteen (Lisa) of Spindale, Jamaica Wood of Gaffney, Joe Mack Fowler (Tiffany) of Gaffney and Rhonda Hopper Carswell (Albert) of Gaffney; his siblings, Jackie Hopper (Carolyn) of Chesnee and Sandy Turner (Joe) of Gaffney; and his grandchildren, Stacy Hopper (Charlie), Christina Ramsey (Ray), Megan Painter (Dustin), Michael Osteen, Matthew Osteen, Johnathan Osteen, Matthew Fowler, Josh Fowler, Joe Fowler Jr., Joshua Carswell (Destiny), Haley Rowan (Matthew) and Kaylan Dawkins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blakely Funeral Home & Crematory (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
