It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richmond Thurston of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on October 24, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Earl Thurston and Eris Flint Thurston; and his brother-in-law Charles Davis. He is survived by: his spouse Romonia Davis Thurston; his stepsons, James Warren (Misty) of Inman and Alen Warren; his godsons, Ricky Green of Gaffney and Shawn Doyle of Forest City; his siblings, Wilbert "Pete" Thurston (Lillian), Raymon L. Thurston (Mary) of Durham, NC, Maxine Young of Sharon, VT and Nancy Moulton (David) of Utah; his grandchildren, Nevaeh Warren, Chander Warren, Sierra Scruggs, Carson Scruggs, Kyerstin Warren and Gage Fore; his great grandchildren, Harper, Zaylen and Colby; his brothers-in-law, Donnie Davis (Lisa) of Gaffney and Eddie Davis (Dawn) of Gaffney; and his mother-in-law Evie Giles of Gaffney. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM and at 11:00 PM.
