It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Remona Mathis of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on August 28, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyce Vernon Gardner and Edith Emma Turner Gardner; and her brothers, Boyce "Buster" Gardner, Niles Gardner and Lonnie Gardner.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Gardner (Cindy) of Easley, Scott Gardner of Gaffney, Tammy Gardner Crowe (Donnie) of Gaffney, Sheila Gardner of Gaffney and Cindy O'Dell of Seneca; her sisters, Maxine Ross of Spartanburg, Betty Cash of Pacolet, Mary Thackston of Gaffney and Laverne Turner of Gaffney; and her grandchildren, Chelsea Gardner, Brandi Holmes (Joshua), Kandise Gardner and Aaron O'Dell. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
