He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Gardner and Inez Henderson Gardner; his brother James Gardner; and his brother-in-law Harold Horne. He is survived by: his wife Sara Harrington Gardner; his children, Clay Gardner (Jennifer) of Oak Ridge, TN and Clary Aaron (Kristopher) of Bristol, TN; his sister Pat Horne; his sister-in-law Sylvia Gardner of Gaffney, SC; and his grandchildren, Troy, Mason, Tristan Gardner, Isaac and Sara Lyn Aaron.
