We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2025, at the age of 85, Nellie Elizabeth Covington of Gaffney, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Nellie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Scott Hopper Sr. and Mamie Rene Wood Hopper.
A funeral Mass will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church (1809 Old Post Rd, Gaffney, SC 29341). A burial will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
