She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Gilfillan and Margaret Mathis Gilfillan Wilson; her sons, Ronald Wesley Goode and Gene Scates; and her sisters, Joyce (John Winstead) and Jane (Jackie Donahue).
She is survived by: her husband Ronald "Ron" Goode; her children, Keith Goode of Mooresboro, NC and Lori Ann McMahan (Richard) of Chesnee; her siblings, Richard Gilfillan of Gaffney and Cathy Webber (Larry) of Spartanburg; her sisters-in-law, Ada Conner (Norman) of Forest City and Jane Dietrich (Phillip) of Spindale; and her grandchildren, Brittany Hames (Josh), Angel Goode, Blake Gilbert, Shane Pennington and Josh Scates. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
