He was predeceased by : his parents, Marshall Dean Mullinax and Mildred Painter Mullinax; his daughter Baby Mullinax; his sister Marsha Orr; and his grandparents, Hiram Arthur, Versee Mullinax, Dewey and Corrie Painter.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Mullinax; his sons, Hiram "Hank" Mullinax (Dawn) of Gaffney and Marshall "Lee" Mullinax (Theresa) of Gaffney; his sister Nell Gentry of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Brandon Mullinax (Caitee), Dustin Beattie, Danielle Dorshimer (Roy), Jesse Barnette (Morgan), Michael Barnette (Tiffini), Alyssa Barnette and Logan Johnson (Lucas); and his uncle Charlie Painter.

A funeral service was held on Monday, June 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church (412 McKowns Mountain Rd, Gaffney, SC 29340).
