With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael James Stockwell of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on September 24, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delton Wallace and Agnes Ruppe Wallace; his siblings, Bob Stockwell and Kay James; and his granddaughter Stephanie McDowell.
He is survived by: his children, Michael James Stockwell, Jr. of Gaffney, Greg Stockwell (Frannie) of Gaffney, Robert Evans (Jill) of Chesnee, Danny Foster (Tracy) of Grover, Diane S. Davis (Scott) of Gaffney and Pamela S. Cowen of Gaffney; his sister Tana Leidigh of Florida; his grandchildren, Stacy Duncan (Bryon), Scotty McDowell, Michelle Carlton, Elizabeth Davis (Shawn), Anderson Davis (Bobbi Jo), Aarika Johnson (Joe), Zachary Woods (Charlotte), Emily Stockwell (Brandon), Erica Stockwell (Cameron), Dylan Stockwell (Izzy), Conner Brown, Heath Foster, Ben Foster (Heather), Corbin Foster (Cayla) and Danielle Cochran (Dale); and his close friend Paula Goforth of Gaffney. He is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
