In the sacred silence of farewell, Michael is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Michael's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Eheman Cody; and his parents, David Wayne Cody and Beverly Rea Maple Cody. He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Wayne Cody (Desiree) of Gaffney and Abi Reed (Raven) of Gaffney; his brother Carl Wayne Cody (Holli) of Kansas; his grandchildren, Jacob Kirk Cody, Emma Grace Cody, David Wayne Cody and Kit Reid; his nephew Spencer Cody of Kansas; and his niece Danielle Jackson (Simon) of Kansas.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (701 W Buford St, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
