She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar "Tank" Jefferies and Lillian Tate Jefferies; her husband Donald E. Byers; her daughter Donna Renee Wilson; and her brothers, Willie Ray Jefferies, Oscar Jefferies Jr. and Virgil Jefferies.
She is survived by: her children, James B. Byers, Claudette E. Byers, Victor C. Byers, Angelia N. Curry and Douglas T. Byers; her siblings, JoDean Jefferies and Annie Marie Sarratt; her aunt Annabelle Tate; her siblings-in-law, May Francis Hill, Annette Littlejohn, Robert L. Byers and Rev. Robert Dover; and her godson Terris Oglesby. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
