She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Thomas; her parents, Broadus Randolph Philbeck and Minnie Mae Moss Philbeck; and her siblings, Aydlotte Philbeck, Tommy Philbeck, Junior Philbeck, Alda Mae Grigg and Helen Grayson.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Thomas (Sylvia Mintz) of Clemson and Susan Cartee of Blacksburg; her brother Willis Philbeck of Florida; her grandchildren, Jason Cartee, Hannah Cartee Britt (David) and Mimi Thomas Wall (Conner); and her great grandchildren, Austin Cartee (Logan Richardson), Charisma Smith (Michael), Boone Cartee, Dylan Britt and Jasie Cartee. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
