He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Stuard and Bessie McSwain Stuard; his siblings, James Stuard, John Stuard and Betty Quinn; and his niece Vickie Stuard.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" McCraw Stuard; his daughters, Pamela Stuard Allison of Gaffney and Lori Stuard Downey (Scott) of Gaffney; his sister Mary Stuard Humphries of Boiling Springs, SC; his grandchildren, Leandra Allison Bright (Morgan), Alayna Downey Graham (Brady) and Cameron Downey (Hannah Burris); his great grandchild Aubrey Leigh Bright; and his nieces and nephews, Philip Stuard, Susan Gibson (Jimmy), Rene Hollifield, Joyce Benson (David), Dee Edwards and Marcia Brown (Bill).
