With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lula Anne Scruggs of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on March 10, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Gettys Scruggs; her parents, Elias Wofford Hicks and Willie Humphries Hicks; her brother Charles Avery Hicks; and her sisters-in-law, Laura Huskey Hicks and Sybil Scruggs McBrayer.
She is survived by: her son Robert G. Scruggs, Jr. (Brenda) of Barnwell; her grandchildren, Sydney Elizabeth Scruggs and Douglas Gettys Scruggs; her brother-in-law Dr. Douglas Scruggs (Lauren); her nieces and nephews, Charles Brian Hicks (Shawn), Cooper Scruggs, Maurica Ann Buckner (Jim) and Laura Beth Hicks Phillips; her great-nephews, Stanley Yeargin, Elias Hicks, Luke Phillips and Seth Phillips; and her great-niece Dr. Emily Phillips Howard.
