He was predeceased by: his father Lloyd Vernon Fortner, Sr.; and his siblings, Tommy Fortner and Narvis Littleton. He is survived by: his wife Clara Jackson Fortner; his mother Frances Gaynelle Sanders Greene of Gaffney; his children, Nicholas Fortner (Amanda) of Gaffney, Rebecca Gay of Gaffney and Amy Everette (Brian) of Gaffney; his brother Richard Fortner (Penny) of Gaffney; and his grandchildren, Tamera Gay, Justin Gay, Hailey Gay, Ashley Lambert, Austin Everette, Kody Everette, Gabrial Fortner, Alyssa Fortner, Nathan Fortner and Naomi Fortner.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the High Point Baptist Church (504 High Point Rd, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
