He was predeceased by: his wife Cathy Wyatt Broome; his parents, Carl Edward Broome and Pansy Viola Martin Broome; his siblings, Ruth White and Lloyd Broome; and his grandson Timothy Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Broome (Cooper) of Pittsboro, NC, Carla Broome, Gwendolyn Selvey (Trent Turner) of Rockwell, NC, Donna Thomas of Rockwell, NC and Amanada Byars (Roger) of Gaffney; his siblings, Ricky Broome and Brenda Bolton (Edward) of Gaffney; and his grandchildren, Alexis Millen, Candace Byars Mathis (Josh), Cameron Byars, Zachary Selvey (Sidney), Bobbi England (Chris), Madeline Broome and Dawson Broome.
