It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Allison of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Fort Allison and Daisy Coyle Allison; his siblings, Myrtle Allison Smarr (W. B.), Doris Allison Mathis (James), Louise Allison Crocker (Lawrence) and Charles Fort Allison; and his nephew Larry Crocker.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Batchler Allison; his children, Lawrence Fort Allison of Gaffney, SC, Leandra Allison Bright (Morgan) of Wellford, SC and Laurinda Allison Pennington (Harold Pennington, Jr.) of Blacksburg, SC; his grandchildren, Allison Elizabeth (Victor) of Charlotte, NC and Andrew William (Madyson) of Kings Mountain, NC; his great grandchildren, Luke David Pennington, Aubrey Leigh Bright and Eli Harold Pennington; his niece Elizabeth Mathis Hanks (David); and his nephews, Ronnie Smarr (Gail) and Steve Crocker (Janice). He is also survived by four great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (121 W Cherokee St, Blacksburg, SC 29702). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church, Blacksburg.
