It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaMona Kay Mullinax of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Mindle Mullinax; her parents, Fred Ezekiel Childers and Loma Lee Dillingham Childers; her daughter Angela Mullinax Chitwood; and her siblings, Freddie Lee Childers, Gail C. Sprouse and Phyllis C. Ramsey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Renae Bolf (Scott), Menda Gordon (Jack), Tanya Blanton (Scotty), Daphne Mullinax and Tassy Sutton; her grandchildren, Devan Bolf (Lindsay), Kayla B. McCraw (Justin), Nicoli Gordon, Rusty Blanton (Kaylyn), Leigh Tate (Josh), Mona Mullinax, Jennifer Owens (Greg) and Eddie Sutton, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Bowen, Banks and Barrett Bolf; her grandchildren, Naylei Kay, Wrenslee, Jett McCraw, Kandace, Bobby Bolick, Jr., Oaklen, Adalie Kaye Blanton, Hayzlee, Autumn, Ridge Owens and Tate; her brothers, Randy Childers (Jean) and Reverend Alton Childers (Donna); and also, Chris and Kim Childers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Frederick Memorial Gardens (986 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341). A reception was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM.
