With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Pettit Jr. of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on June 21, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John Edward Pettit and Alberta Elmore Pettit; and his sister Mary Jane Coyle. He is survived by: his wife Carol Barnhardt Pettit; his daughters, Melissa Cobb (Scott) of Gaffney and Johnna Jones of Coats, NC; his sisters, Celia P. Harris of Gaffney and Florence P. Lavender of Gaffney; and his brother-in-law Craig Coyle of Gaffney.
