With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Sammons Heinis of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Emory Levi Sammons of Herndon, GA and Billie Huskey Sammons of Gaffney, SC.; her sisters, San, Sib, Lin and Barbara; and her significant other Markus Heinis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northgate Baptist Church Building Fund.
