He is survived by: his wife Barbara George Johnson; his stepfather Clyde Mahaffey; his children, Edward Brian Johnson (Stephanie), Tracy Plumley of Spartanburg, Kelli Rice (Johnathan) and Gaffney; and his siblings, Ray Bass (Bridget) of Pensacola, FL, Marvin Bass of Pensacola, FL and Glenda Brackin of Pensacola, FL.
