She was predeceased by: her husband Charles W. Blackwell; her parents, Lee Albertus Hasty and Vivian Thompson Hathcock; and her daughter Shannon Merritt Gibson. She is survived by: her son Scott Lee Blackwell of Matthews; and her sisters, Peggy Gunter (Dorian H.) of Charlotte and Susan Lansdon (Steven G., Sr.) of Smiths Station, Alabama.. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
