He is survived by: his stepmother Josephine Slaten of Pacolet, SC.; his wife Diane Renee Pollard Slaten; his son Jason Thorne Slaten (Christina); his stepsons, Robert Dean Wells "Robbie" (Stacy) and Lehman Todd Wells "Lee"; his grandson Mathew Thorne Slaten; his stepgranddaughter Victoria Kirsten Yother (Dylan); his stepgreat-granddaughters, Alaina Brooke Yother and Avery Belle Yother; and his sister Crystal Slaten Smith.
