He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Owensby and Frankie Parker Jackson; and his brother David Owensby. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Dutton Owensby; his stepdaughters, Jean Bridgeman of Spartanburg and Angelia Durham of Gaffney; his sisters, Judy Parker (Billy Ray) of Gaffney and Donna Owensby (Mike) of Blacksburg; his aunt Peggy Deaton of Gaffney; his cousin Dennis "Hank" Owensby; and his grandchildren, Tamara Blackstock (Michael), Marissa Mace (Johnny) and Benji Durham (Vanessa). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
