With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Owens of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on June 30, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Lee Owens and Annie Peeler Owens; his brother Bobby Gene Owens; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Smalley and Wilkes Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Scates Owens; his children, Jason Owens (Kim Gault) of Gaffney and Jennie Owens (Adam Willier) of Piedmont; his sisters, Frances Harris of Gaffney and Annie Lee Smalley of Gaffney; and his grandchildren, Jay Owens and Jaycee Owens.
