He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl A. Grant, Sr. and Lucille Horne Grant; and his siblings, Sam Grant, Alice Turney and Barbara Henry.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lucille Owens Grant; his sons, Steve Grant (Shelly) of Spartanburg and David Grant of Charleston; his brother-in-law Clyde Turney of Gaffney; his sisters, Louise Westmoreland of Gaffney and Juanita Parris of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Mitchell Grant (Sara Ann), Zachary Grant, Parker Grant (Alexis) and Lillian Grant (Lily); his great grandchild Annabelle Grant; and his family, Felicia, Ashley, Dot and Lisa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
