Calvin Horne Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Calvin Horne of Gaffney, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his spouse Magalene "Maggie" Skipper Horne; his parents, William "W. J." Horne and Magnolia "Bam" Fowler Horne; his son Jerry Horne; his granddaughters, Jessica Motts and Heather Motts; and his siblings, D. C. Horne, Jim Horne Elvis Horne, Bill Horne, Ike Horne, Carolyn Vincent, Ella Vinesett, Pearl Higgins, Grace Pressley and Mary Horne.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Horne (Cathy) of Gaffney, Carol Lynn Horne Higdon (Marvin) of Gaffney, Lisa Horne Wallace (Jeff McAbee) of Gaffney and Libby Ann Locke (Jimmy) of Beaufort; and his grandchildren, Olisha Wallace, Brittany Wallace, Gary Lee Jones (Kimberly Mullinax), Christy Horne, Nikki Horne, Misty Lane (Bo), Tiffany Horne, Haley Horne (Herbert Duncan), Brandon Horne and Malachi Horne.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blakely Funeral Home (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341).
