She is survived by: her husband James Michael "Mike" Vassy; her sons, Mark Vassy (Sherrie) of Gaffney and Dr. Matt Vassy (Jane) of Gainesville, GA; and her grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer Vassy Palomo (Jared) of Greenville, Mary Elizabeth Vassy of Charleston, Emma Jane Vassy of Chattanooga, TN and Jackson Matthew Vassy of Athens, GA. She is also survived by brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
