She was predeceased by: her husband Michael Thompson; her parents, James Knuckles and Elwillie Tate Knuckles; her brother James "Lil Man" Smith; and her aunts and uncles, Luvenie Harris, Lillian Jefferies, Minnie Pearl Rodgers, Edward Tate, Lionel Tate and Harold Tate.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmie Knuckles (Lorene Littlejohn) of Gaffney, Victoria Knuckles of Gaffney, Matthew Knuckles of Gaffney and Leslie Wallace (Isley Wallace) of Gaffney; her siblings, David "Boss Hog" Smith (Honorary) and Ethel Blakely; and her aunts, Annie Bell Hopper, Dorothy Sizemore, Bernice Fowler and Straucy Scippio. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
