He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hoffman Batchler; his children, Wayne Batchler (Carolyn) of Blacksburg, Donna Mabry (William) of Shelby and Karen Hill (Billy) of Kings Mountain; his siblings, Don Batchler (Betty) of Blacksburg and Judy White of Grover; his grandsons, Brandon Mabry (Pam) of Charlotte and Brett Mabry (Allison) of Wilmington; and his great grandchildren, Layla, Lola, Everett, Edison and Emmitt.
