She was predeceased by: her husband Johnny Albert Humphries; her parents, James Tate and Alice Warf Lockamy; her sister Donna Tate; and her great grandchild Bruce Fleming.
She is survived by: her children, John David Witherspoon Sr. (Alyssa), Bradley Allman, Donna Binnix of Reidsville, NC, Michelle Witherspoon and Angelina Earls; and her sisters, Betty Starnes (Roy) of Reidsville, NC, Janice Hobbs (Jerry) of Mayodan, NC and Vickie Melvin of Reidsville, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
