He was predeceased by: his parents, Rachel Margaret Durham Knight and James Albert Knight; his spouse Bobbie Rape Knight; and his brothers, Rudy and Douglas Knight.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Y. Knight of Cowpens and Charles A. Knight of Gaffney, SC; his grandchildren, Veronica Shippy (Jamaal Smith), J. B. Shippy, Michael Shippy (Chelsea Williams) and Joshua Porter; and his great grandchildren, Za'Riah, Peyton, Iana, Isaiah, Josiah and Kaylynne.
