He is survived by: his children, Steven Douglas Powell (Marianne), Shirlynn Powell (Michael Rivers) and Suzanne Powell Slocum; his grandchildren, Laura C. Powell, Steven J. Powell and Travis Ogden; and his nieces, Sally Elizabeth Cook and Barbara Carter (Perry).
