He was predeceased by: his parents, David Bailey Brooklyn Willard and Cora Mae Welborn Willard; and his sister Judy Swaim. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Gayle Miller Willard; his children, Michael David Willard of Kernersville, NC, Tracy Willard Poindexter (Drew) of Dobson, NC and Jay Van Willard (Susan) of Gable; his grandchildren, Salem Poindexter, McKenzie Willard, Stratton Poindexter, Ben Willard and Kaylie DuBose; and his sister Sandra Christopher (Chris) of Warsaw, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
