He was predeceased by: his father Robert Wesley Taylor, Sr.; and his brother Lee Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Anne Rogers Taylor; his mother Beverly Jane Cannon Taylor; his daughters, Dani Rawcliffe (Jerry) and Sydney Taylor; his sister Kathy Dudley (Burt); and his grandchildren, Jackson and Maddie.
