He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter H. Sr. Smith and Marjorie Coleman Smith. He is survived by: his sister Caroline Smith Sherman; his nieces, Mary Caroline Riner (Phillip Wood) and Elizabeth Riner Patty (Charles); his great-niece Elizabeth Siddall; and his great-nephews, John Siddall and Geroge Siddall.
