He was predeceased by: his father Don Bargeron; and his son-in-law Andy. He is survived by: his mother Pat Garrett; his wife Angie; his children, Savannah, Candice and TJ (Anna); his grandchildren, Trent, Braxton and Bethany; his siblings, Donny, Shawn, Jamie and Sharon; and also, Missy, Jody and Brad. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren, playing golf with his friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorials to be made to Hospice of the Upstate in honor of Troy and his time under their care.
