She was predeceased by: her father James Cecil "JC" Sims, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Preston Scott Layton; her mother Teressa Ann Huckaby Sims; her daughter Kalliope Layne Layton; her sisters, Chris Richey (Marty) of Honea Path and Ellen Hawkins (Glenn) of Pelzer; her nieces and nephews, Hannah Rodgers (Aubrey), Kaitlin Guthrie (Hunter), Abby Hawkins, Jacob Hawkins, Hunter Richey and Matt Hawkins; and her great-niece Palmer Rodgers.
