With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred Pierce Allen in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, born in Laurens, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 12, 2024 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Prince Allena and Martha Ware Allen. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Whtfield of Troy, NC and Alton Thurmond of Brooklyn, NY; his sisters, Bernice Atkins and Annie Bright; his daughter-in-law Gail Tribble of Fountain Inn; his nephew Larry Joe Sullivan (Delores) of Gray Court; and his brother Henry Sutton, Sr. of Tampa, FL.. He is also survived by thirty grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren and twenty-one great, great-grandchildren.
