He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Marvin Smith, Sr. and Olive Mae Drummond Smith; and his son Ben M. Smith, III. He is survived by: his wife Judy Thackston Smith; his daughters, Debbie Smith and Cathie Amick (Randall); and his grandchildren, Asheton Amick and Kaylon Amick.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Fletcher Funeral Service (1218 N Main St, Fountain Inn, SC 29644). A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:10 PM at the Cannon Memorial Park (1150 N Main St, Fountain Inn, SC 29644).
