He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Odell Smith and Alma Louise Stowe Smith; and his sisters, Joyce Smith and Patricia Cassell. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his sons, Richard Odell Smith, Jr. (Lynne) of Belafonte, PA and James "Mike" Smith (Teri) of Fort Mill, SC; his grandchildren, Brittany Hunsinger (Jason), Dana Littlejohn (Mike), Richard Odell Smith, III, Evelyn Smith, Clint Allsopp (Nicole) and Jessica A. Edwards (Jake); and his brother-in-law Harvey Cassell. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (1320 India Hook Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Smith's name to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1320 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
