He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Johnson and Ed Johnson; his daughter Dana; his wife Dot of Obion, TN; and his brothers, Charles (Buddy) and Chess (Junior).
He is survived by: his children, Cianne Roberts (Hugh) of Leverett, MA, Jimmy Grogan of Leverett, MA, Michael Grogan of Greenfield, MA, Kelly Gronowski (Kirk) of Fort Mill, SC and Chris Grogan (Christie) of Fort Mill, SC; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Sam, Patrick Roberts, Tess Grogan, Blake, Chase Gronowski, Reid and Cade Grogan; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Alys, Leland, Lucian and Margot.
