He was predeceased by: his parents, Adelbert "Del" Swiger and Chattie Mae Swiger. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Isabel Swiger; his children, Frederick Karl Swiger, Melissa Gray and Dawn Burkett; his grandchildren, Jessica Morton (Brady), Caleb Bennet, Mitchell Tyson, Kailey Swiger, Nathan Tyson, Karl Swiger, Karson Swiger and Isabel Burkett; his great grandchildren, Reed and Ella Morton; his sister JoDell Essary (Duke); and his cousin Bud Swiger.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Grace Presbyterian Church (2955 SC-160, Fort Mill, SC 29708).
