She is survived by: her children, Sherri Newell Hawk (David) of Rock Hill, James Archie "Jimmy" Newell, Jr. (Nina) of Walnut Cove, NC, Keith Newell (Katrina) of Lake View and Shelia Newell Strickland (Dale) of Kemper; her grandchildren, Denise Brewer Brown (Joe), Alex Newell (Taylor), Michael Newell, Austin Newell (Taylor), Luc Newell, Samantha Strickland and Sawyer Strickland (Tiffany Parker); her great grandchildren, Evan, Jack, Sadie Brown, Vanessa Newell, Caroline McKenna Newell and Parker Sawyer Strickland; her siblings, Irene Sawyer Fink, Janet Sawyer Nicholson (Horace) and Franklin Sawyer; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Price, Betty Newell, Eveleigh Sawyer and Sylvia Newell Powell.
