He was predeceased by: his parents, W. S. Kearse and Martha Montjoy Kearse. He is survived by: his former spouse Columbia; his wife Shirley; his children, Angela Smith (Barry) and Charles "Chuck" Kearse, Jr.; his grandchildren, Chase Smith and Meredith Kearse; his sisters, Norma McKee and Elizabeth Bell; and his friend Rose Henderson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID, a private graveside service is planned.
