She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleborn Gravitte and Susie Creel Gravitte; her husband John Whitt Dodd; her siblings, George Gravitte, Jerry Gravitte and Karen Jones; and her son-in-law Danny Snead.

She is survived by: her daughters, Dianne Evans (Garry), Hilda Hutto (Eddie) and Peggy Moore (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Christopher Snead (Tara Jane), Jameson Snead (Cadie), Jonathan Wilke (Whitney), Valerie Murden (Drew) and Whitney Sereg (Jamie); and her great grandchildren, Delaney Snead of Darby Snead, J. P, Ansley Wilke, Sullivan Wilke, Andy Murden and Lucy Murden.
