He was predeceased by: his parents, Murdock "Mutt" M. Rotan and Corine Marsh Rotan; his wife Windy Winesett Rotan; and his siblings, Earl Lee Rotan, Jimmy L. Rotan, Michael Rotan and Ruth Rotan.

He is survived by: his sisters, Barbara Branton and Patsy Bailey; and his sister-in-law Nellie Rotan.
